Let's go back in time .. Do you remember the days when the only big camps in the country were the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis and the Reebok ABCD camp in Teaneck, New Jersey? The top players ,regardless of shoe company, were at these camps. You could truly see the best players go head to head. Let's fast forward to 2016. In the month of July, there are about 40 high profile basketball camps jocking for players to attend their camp. Organizers are doing what they need to do to attract the best players to thier camps,hoping college coaches would flock to their venue. Here at Indihoops, we have a list of the Top 10 camps you need to pay attention to for the July live period. This list will have juco events as well as high school events. Nike and Adidas won't be on this list because they are holding their camps after the live period ends in July.
1. ELITE 100 CAMP JULY 8-10 Southern California area
Brian Hershmann and Ryan Silver put on a phenomenal camp last year. Over 300 college coaches attended this event. The Southern California area will be jumping during this period, but this camp is selling like hotcakes. This camp gives you individual workouts and plenty of coverage in fornt of college coaches. Players, make sure you attend this camp. Top notch camp.
2. JUCO REPORT ELITE 100 Duluth High School July 9
The top juco event in the country. Corey Black and company are running the JUCO event circuit.
3. POWERADE NATIONAL EXPOSURE CAMP JULY 5-7 CHARLOTTE,NC
While Under Armour host their camp, Powerade will be hosting 80 of the top players in America. These kids will get alot of exposure during this camp. My lineage of champions has some of the better events in the country.
4. UNDER ARMOUR ALL- AMERICAN CAMP JULY 6-10 CHARLOTTE,NC
Top players from the Under Armour Circuit.
5. VICTOR OLADIPO ALL-AMERICAN CAMP JULY 13-14 WASHINGTON DC
Some of the top players in the DMV area and players from the Nike circuit will be a this event.
6. BIG SHOTS ALL- AMERICAN CAMP JULY 6-7 MYRTLE BEACH,SC
Jeff and Kevin Schneider puts on about 50 events a year. Their All-American camp is one of their biggest events.
7.THE HOOP ALL-AMERICAN CAMP JULY 6-7 OREGON
One area we tend to forget about in the grassroots world is the great northwest area. This camp will attract alot of the Portland, Boise, Seattle guys.
8. MULLEN TOP 100 JUCO SHOWCASE JULY 13-14 KANSAS CITY
Jerry Mullen, has been putting on some of the best JUCO camps for over 25 years. This year's event in the Wizard of Oz state of Kansas, won't disappoint.
9. FULLCOURT PRESS ALL WEST CAMP JULY 13-14 CALIFORNIA
Pangos always has some top notch events. Top players on the West Coast will be a this event.
10. CIA BOUNCE EXPOSURE CAMP JULY 22-24 TORONTO
Andrew Wiggins, Tristan Thompson, Cory Joseph, Drake,(he acts like he plays basketball), are all products of a city that he transformed into a basketball haven the last 10 years.This camp will feature some of the top 15u and 16u Canadians basketball players.
