2017 Urban DFW Elite lost 64-46 to Mo Williams Academy in the 16U championship of the 2014 Summer Jam tournament over the weekend at Bob Knight Fieldhouse in Dallas, Texas.
Urban DFW started pool play by beating 2017 Texas Select 68-46 before dropping a close one to Mo Williams Academy 51-53 in the final game in pool play on Saturday.
Bracket play tipped off with 2017 Urban DFW Elite playing United Ballerz. Urban closed out the half up 32-28, before playing a better defensive game topping the Ballerz 67-52.
In the semi-finals, Urban DFW jumped out early against Deron Williams 2016 with a 43-25 lead at the half, Urban DFW continued to outscore Deron Williams 2016 winning 53-70 setting up a rematch with Mo Williams Academy for the 16U championship.
Urban trailed Mo Williams 32-28 at halftime. Urban DFW went 12 minutes without a field-goal in the second half before losing to Mo Williams 46-64.
2017 Urban DFW Elite will play in the 6th annual King Arthur's Classic Hoop Festival, June 20-22 at Bob Knight Fieldhouse.
