The South Jersey Jazz Basketball club founded in January of 2000 is a Division of the Basketball Development group, a non-profit 501 C3 New Jersey Corporation that is dedicated exclusively to the development of amateur student athletes. The club operates yearly and is based out of Camden and Gloucester County of South Jersey. The club is affiliated with the Middle Atlantic Association of The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), and American Youth Basketball Association (AYBA). This year the club will consist of 8 age divisions of boys, 10U through 17U or grades 4th through 11th. We will begin the 2012 season in March with travel team tryouts slated the 1st and 2nd week of the month. Each age division will have 4 tryout nights, approximately 1 1/2 hours each. Our travel teams play in highly competitive tournaments and carry only 8-11 players. Playing time is not guaranteed to any player and attendance at practice is mandatory. If you should be fortunate enough to make a travel team, a serious commitment is expected. We highly recommend that you do not play another sport. Affiliation: Under Armour
