The mission of the Memphis Bearcats is to improve the lives of youths of today and enable them to become productive adults of the future by mentoring to them using the game of basketball. Fundamentals, skill development, sportsmanship, fair play, and competing at a high level will be stressed on the basketball court. Academics, servant hood, Christian morals will also be stressed. The Board and its members endorse the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Code of Ethics.
Our vision is to ensure that the youths in this organization transform into well-rounded individuals through the wonderful game of basketball. These youths will become some of the best basketball players they can be. They will have acquired the necessary skills to compete at a high level. Because of basketball, these youths will obtain college educations that will prepare them for a good, productive life whether they pursue a basketball career or not. They will have other options. It is also our goal to have all of the youth that completed the program to, at some point and time, volunteer their time and effort back into the organization and help us mentor to the younger kids.
