Asics Prototype Basketball ShoeIMG_3752

Support: It’s a High-Top shoe, which has a great feel around the ankle not to constrict but to lend good support on the floor. One huge flaw in the shoe is arch support, its not enough and little uncomfortable until you break the shoe in properly. Overall the shoe gives optimum support to the whole foot and have a great feel.

Cushioning: The Gel Lyte support inside of the shoe begins to show once you start playing in this model. While those who have worn Asics previously know how comfortable they are, Asic was able to exhibit next level cushioning on this model as well. Great comfort on your foot, including cushioned support when landing after jumping is amazing.

Traction: Great traction on the shoe when you make cuts, they don’t give out and you are able to make moves without worrying about slipping. While in defensive stance you are able to slide with your opponent. The shoe displays response and reaction that allows a player proper technique. There is no issue with the shoe sticking to the court or not having enough time to stop properly to react to a move.

Weight: The weight of the shoe is very light, especially for it being a high top. I feel just as explosive in this shoe as I do in low tops. There is no weight holding me down and I don't not loose added support showcased in this model.

Overall: For this being a Prototype it was created with craftsmanship & high level materials. Technical improvements to consider include arch support. Ascetic improvements include removing the two straps on the shoe. It gives the shoe an older feel and doesn’t give the model a great look. The shoe has viability and potential down the line. It’s very light, comfortable and durable. I would recommend this shoe to people once they are finally put into production. The potential of various color ways could also determine the popularity of this shoe.
