1. Via ZagsBlog, 2015 Top 10 Consensus players Diamond Stone (Dominican/ Young Legends) Malik Newman (Callaway/ Jackson Tigers) plan to attend college as a "Package Deal". The dynamic guard & commanding post man combination will provide a unique component to what ever program the tandem chooses to attend.
2. Thus far on the spring / summer circuit is their a player that has resonated in the minds of recruiters and evaluators more than, Allonzo Trier (Findlay Prep / Athletes First) ? Trier's assent up the ranking board should catapult him into the top 5 players in the country. He is a dynamic combo guard that is garnering the attention of the top tier coaches & programs this spring. Chieck Diallo (Our Savior / Team Scan) and Isaiah Briscoe ( Roselle Catholic / NJ Playaz) come to mind when thinking about players who are making consistent improvement having already reached elite level status.
3. # 1 Player of 2016, Thon Maker (Carslilse/ Team Loaded (VA) is currently consider reclassification into the class of 2015. If Maker moves into the class of 2015, he still would be up for consideration for the top spot in his new class. The upside of the Sudanese big fella already has NBA scouts and GM's drooling with his multi-dimensional style & skill set.
4. # 1 Player of 2017, Deandre Ayton (San Diego) is currently playing with Cal Supreme (16's). Ayton will make a serious impact this next school year, his first of official competition at the hs level.
5. Slick shooting small forward, Benny Boatwright (Village Christian) left Cal Supreme, opting to run with Arizona commit Justin Simon (Temecula Valley) and Gamepoint Elite (Adidas). The tandem is working nicely together in Adidas Gauntlet play. Look for GP to compete for a Adidas Super 64 championship in Las Vegas in late July.
6. 2017 SF Jordan Tucker (White Plains / NY Lightning) may be New York's next big thing. The 6'7 wing is building a reputation for getting it done when the game is on the line & finishing in dramatic fashion. Tucker is a very smooth player, who despite growing up in White Plains, played his middle school basketball at IMG Academy, in Florida. Arizona, Syracuse and Villanova have already been in contact currently with the freshman dynamo from upstate.
