16u – #10

15u – #3

14u – #12

DC Assault took 14u-17u to the Southern Jam Fest in Hampton Virginia and swept the whole tournament.

Runner Up: Compton Magic – #1 15u team in the Nation.  #3 16u in the Nation

Newcoming Program of the Year: Earl Watson Elite

Ryan Silver put together quite the program in its first year.   The program started off in our rankings at virtually every level and ended there as well. 17u featured multiple D1 players including PG Devin Watson who was just offered by UCONN.  17u played in the Battle of the Beach event and made the Championship of the Pangos Spring Event and won the Pangos Summer 16.

16u had a fantastic Fab 48 Championship win put this group as our Indihoops #7 in the Nation.  That is not an easy task for a new program.  15u had a number of great players and received some hardware this AAU season as well.  Big things to come for this program.

Runner Up: Arizona Power

won some big events, Dane Kuiper of 2015 committed to New Mexico, Casey Benson to Oregon and they have the #1 2018 in the Country Marvin Bagley

Game of the Year – Mo Williams Elite vs. Belmont Shore at the Fab 48

At Bishop Gorman High School in front of a packed crowd of coaches, scouts and fans for the Fab 48, Mo Williams rolled out a 5 Star backcourt of Emmanuel Mudiay and Malik Newman.  Belmont Shore had the usual suspects of Tyler Dorsey (2015) who added 34 points.  Dorsey got an offer by Duke shortly after the game.  Daniel Hamilton (UCONN) chipped in 31 points and Belmont Shore had a guest appearance from one of the best players of 2015 Stephen Zimmerman.  Stephen scored 21, had a show stopping windmill, and a displayed his skillset as per usual.

Emmanuel Mudiay and Malik Newman collectively had 65 points.

Final Score:  Belmont Shore 101 – Mo Williams Elite 93

Game of the Year

Jae’Sean Tate (All Ohio Red) vs Georgia Stars goes for 40 points, 18 rebounds, 8 steals and 5 assists.  Jae’Sean will be attending Ohio State.

Player of the Year – Tyus Jones (Howard Pulley Panthers)

Tyus is many sources #1 2014 player in the Nation and he displayed that over and over again in the EYBL.  He also beat then, #1 team in the Nation Each 1 Teach 1 at AAU Nationals.

He was voted by D1 Circuit as the Best Offensive Player of the Year.
In the EYBL he averaged 22.2 PPG 88% from the FT line, 46% from 3 PT line and had a game high of 38 points.

Most Improved Program – Gamepoint
The San Diego based club had been gaining momentum over the years, but they really out did themselves this time.  Their 15u team won the Kansas UA event defeating the St. Louis Eagles and this squad only lost 3 times all season.  They took championships at Pangos events as well as the Elite 8 in the Dessert.  They also defeated the #1 team in the Nation Compton Magic in a runner up game of the year and defeated a then top 10 Wisconsin Academy.

16u Red also made a huge splash playing in the Battle of the Beach, winning a Pangos event, and featured a virtual unknown Justin Simon who exploded with offers.  Not to mention they have another team 16u Black who won several championships as well.  Their 17u played in the Invitational Division of the Fab 48 and in a game that Indihoops saw, played Brekott Chapman’s Utah Prospect team pretty darn close.

Best New Event – Muscle Milk’s Battle at the Beach

Taking place at Redondo Union High, a one day event with Nike and Adidas teams in the building.  California Supreme, Compton Magic, Pangos Elite, Belmont Shore, Louisiville Magic, Gamepoint, Arizona Power  who else in some great showcase games in front of tons of scouts and media.  Look forward to this event for years to come.

Best Event of the Year – Nike EYBL Peach Jam

This one is hard to beat.  The EYBL league features 40 Nike teams who play in a brutal circuit where there is no place to hid.  The Peach Jam then takes the best 24 in August, Georgia and lets them duke it out.  Top teams in the Country at the Peach Jam will consistently not even make it out of pool play, that is how good the event is.

Coach of the Year – Edward “Boobie” Francis – E1T1

Each One Teach One showed signs of being a solid team early in EYBL and they even lost their first game in the Peach Jam.  E1T1 never really even cracked the top #15 of the rankings all year.  However, when it mattered the most the Edward took them to the Peach Jam finals and won it all.  They were a couple points away from being your #1 team in the Nation. Boobie primed them for a great run at an important time at the Indihoops best event of the year.

Play of the Year – Chaz Glotta (St. Louis Eagles)

At the Peach Jam, Team Penny goes to the line with a chance to tie the game down 2.  They convert both free throws.  Eagles inbounds the ball to Glotta and well…just watch:

Biggest Stock Riser – Tyler Ulis (Meanstreets) Riley LaChance (Ray Allen Select) Trey Kell (San Diego All Stars)

Had to give this to a tie.

Riley LaChance had virtually no offers and ended the season with 12 offers and a 4 star rating on ESPN.

Tyler Ulis went from the #33 PG to #8 with and a big offer from Michigan State.

Trey Kell cracked the Top 100 in the Country after only having a few local offers.  At the Fab 48 he scored an offer from UCLA and Arizona in 48 hours with Roy Williams at UNC showing signs of interest.

See you next year!
