As Vegas Elite takes home the championship, 2017 Indi World Championships were a large success due to great play from all 12 teams in the event. Some of the top players in the event include Jai Smith of the New York Dragons, JT Tuimoloau of Seattle Select, and the tournament MVP from Vegas Elite Zaon Collins.
On Thursday, Smith averaged 18 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. Then, on Friday, he went on to average 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.
Tuimoloau averaged 17.5 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks per game on Thursday while averaging 11 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
While Zaon Collins wasn't as impressive as Smith and Tuimoloau the first couple days, the third day was when he shined the most. In the championship game against Seattle Rotary, Collins finished with 11 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals to propel Vegas Elite to victory.
In the 28 games at the Indi World Championships, we saw some great basketball and another success for the Indi World Championships in its second year.
