Interview with Coach Robertson:

How did you first hear about the Indi World Championships?

We participated in the Route 66 in Oklahoma and really liked how the event was put on. We enjoyed the professionalism and the competition.

Have you ever played in a tournament in San Diego before?

We have never played in San Diego but we have played in Vegas and we are excited to bring our teams back to the West Coast.

What excites you the most about playing in the Indi World Championships?

The quality of teams. To be invited to an event of this magnitude and to be recognized in the same class with these great teams and programs is an honor and we are extremely excited to be a part of the entire experience.

Who are some of your top players?

Kevin Adams Jr. (KJ) - is a 6'5 188lb Point Guard. Man Child is what his friend call him. He's built like a stack of bricks. He's extremely athletic and rangy and can play and defend all 5 positions. He can hurt you in a number of ways with his versatility. He really opens up the floor for his teammates making it so much easier for everyone around him.

Noah Robledo - Noah is a 6'6 swing man, silky smooth on the perimeter and can get to the rim with ease. He's also an excellent passer with great court vision.

Ethan Walker - 6'4 Shooting Guard - Sharp Shooter! He's a sniper from deep. Has a quick trigger which is very difficult to defend. He'll shoot it early and often and doesn't need much space at all to get it off.

What separates the ATX Knights from the rest of the AAU teams out there?

The core of our team has been together since 5th grade. We also all come from the same area of town where most teams that compete on this level have kids from all over the state. So we have that uniqueness of being a true local team all from the southwest part of Austin.

If you could describe the ATX Knights program and players in one word, what would it be?

FAMILY! This is a very tight knit group of parents and kids. They spend almost every weekend together even on non tournament days. Video gaming, swimming, training together. You name it, they do it together. You don't find that type of loyalty these days as most kids and parents are chasing those sneaker teams but we have formed a special group here at ATX and we are proud to call them Family!

Congratulations to the ATX Knights on earning an Invitation to the Indi World Championships! We are looking forward to watching them compete in the beginning in August.
