In the second game of the 2017 Indi World Championships, Caron Butler Elite defeated Lock Up-Select by a score of 78-52 in a dominant first round performance. After leading 37-34 at halftime, Caron Butler Elite came out firing in the second half, scoring the first eight points of the half and eventually building a 28 point second half lead.
Tyrese Hunter led all scorers with 22 points, as Caron Butler Elite had four players score in double figures. Jakobe Thompson was another standout who finished the game with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Kenyan Johnson barely missed out on a double-double with 9 points and 11 rebounds.
While the first half saw a highly contested game, the second half was a different story. Butler Elite outpaced Lock Up Select in the second half and finished the game with 14 fast break scores. The real difference in the game was on second chance points, where Butler Elite outscored Lock Up Select 25-5. Caron Butler Elite will go on to face the New York Dragons in the second round at 4:10 pm.
