Interview with Coach Justin Cobb:
How did you first hear about the Indi World Championships?
I first heard about Indi World Championships last year once we started getting into the thick of our schedule and got a little bit of notice for a first year team.
How do San Diego tournaments compare to those in other parts of the country?
Quite honestly this will be our first time as a unit traveling this far but we played in Adidas NYBL and a lot of NY2LA events and fared really well.
What excites you the most about playing in the Indi World Championships?
What excites me the most is getting the boys out to the west coast in a different environment to play against some top competition from around the country.
Who are some of your top players?
Antuan Nesbitt, Jakobe Thompson, Kamari McGee, Tyrese Hunter, Jameer Barker, Keyaun Johnson, and Demarion Cobb are our key players.
What separates your team from the rest of the AAU teams out there?
What separates us from a lot of AAU programs is our overall depth. We had numerous games this season with a different leading scorer. This makes us a lot harder to defend because teams can't just key in on one player.
If you could describe the Butler Elite program and players in one word, what would it be?
Tough!
