2013-14 HS news and storylines

1. 2016 West coast elite PG, Lonzo Ball (Soph, Chino Hills) verbally committed to UCLA on Jan 18th.

2. Per Dinos Trigonis,  St. John Bosco, PG Tyler Dorsey (Junior) committed to Sean Miller & Arizona Wildcats. 2015 dynamo PG is the first commitment of  ’15 for Miller & the Cats. Look for a number of elites in class of 2015 to head for Tucson.

3. Per Ryan Silver, Earl Watson Elite Travel Program is now an Under Armour sponsored organization. Earl Watson Elite HS Spring league will start March 14 @ Open Gym (Anaheim).

4. St. John Bosco  touted Freshman, Billy Preston has decided to Transfer. Preston will be suiting up for the Compton Magic this spring / summer club circuit, per Etop Udo- Ema.

5. Winward Coach Miguel Villegas announced, he will not be returning next season. Villegas a South Gate HS and Dominican University graduate developed future NBA talent as well as lead Winward to 2 State Championships.

6. Curie (Chi) Big Fella Cliff Alexander’s tenacity to win and bestowing confidence in his Squad, was a key factor in Curie’s win over then # 1 ranked Montverde (Fla). To this point in the season the best game of the basketball at HS level.

7. Indi Hoops, Jarrell Strong reports Germantown 69 game win streak ended losing to Brookfield Central.  Brookfield star, Riley LaChance (Vandy Commit) is proving to be an amazing shooter and an all around threat on the floor.

8. Mater Dei Monarch & McDonalds All American selection, Stanley Jonhson’s magic quest for 4 State championships. Monarchs also in contention for a “mythical” national championship to this point. Can anyone stop Stanley on his quest to reach #1 ?
