Interview with Coach Jon:
How did you first hear about the Indi World Championships?
We saw social media news of IndiWorlds on twitter and YouTube. We also played in the West Regional in San Diego earlier this year.
How do San Diego tournaments compare to those in other parts of the country?
We have played all over the Pacific Northwest, Houston, New Orleans, Vegas at top caliber tournaments. We have only played in San Diego a handful of times and we have always had a wonderful experience. We are looking forward to more of the same.
What excites you the most about playing in the Indi World Championships?
Having the opportunity to play against the best competition available has always been something we look forward to in our program. IndiWorlds2 provides us with that opportunity.
Who are some of your top players?
Cole Anderson, Avery Johnson III, Jaden Geron, and Ryas Vang are a few of our top players. I expect Cole Anderson to be as good as anyone we see all weekend.
What separates your team from the rest of the AAU teams out there?
Although we have fairly good size, even from our guards, we won't be quite as athletic as the rest of the teams in this weekends field. But we do make up for it with basketball IQ and awareness. We don't have any egos and we play together. Our kids are unselfish and they know how to get a good shot.
If you could describe the Up and Under program and players in one word, what would it be?
