In the third game of the 2017 Indi World Championships, the ATX Knights defeated the Up and Under by a score of 72-40 in the biggest blowout of the event so far. The Knights were clearly the dominant team, outscoring the Up and Under 30-11 in the second half.
Led by Kevin “KJ” Adams, who finished the game with 15 points and 7 rebounds, the Knights were able to easily handle the Up and Under to advance. Adams is ranked by Indi Hoops as the No. 16 ranked player in the Class of 2021.
The Knights dominated in the paint, outscoring the Up and Under 48-16 with 14 second-chance points. The Knights were aided by the help of Noah Robledo who finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Despite their dominant performance, Cole Anderson of Up and Under was the game's leading scorer with 18 points.
Up and Under couldn't keep up with the Knight's explosive offense as they were outscored 29-4 on fast breaks. After shooting 50 percent from the field, the Knights were much more efficient than their opponents who shot just 27.6 percent.
The ATX Knights will go onto face Florida Future in the second round at 5:20 pm.
