The ATX Knights knocked off Caron Butler Elite by a score of 70-67 in another close game at the 2017 Indi World Championships. Led by KJ Adams, the ATX Knights were once again able to claim victory. Adams had perhaps his most impressive performance of the tournament so far with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists but was however plagued by turnovers. Adams finished with eight turnovers.
On the losing side, the duo of Jakobe Thompson and Tyrese Hunter combined for 45 of Butler Elite’s 67 points. Thompson finished with 24 points, two rebounds, and three steals. After falling behind 34-27 at the half, Caron Butler Elite did their best to come back but weren’t able to win. The Knights shot 50 percent from the field and despite struggling from the free throw line, were able to make up for it with smart shot selection. Despite forcing 23 turnovers in the game, the Knights were too much for Caron Butler Elite’s squad.
