Caron Butler Elite defeated the Up and Under 81-68 in the final game of the first day at the 2017 Indi World Championships. Caron Butler Elite was able to finish off the Up and Under in dominant fashion. With five players in double figures, they were no match for the Up and Under. Devin Day of the Up and Under led all scorers with 26 points.
With no lead changes, Caron Butler Elite held their lead the whole game, going up 45-30 at halftime and never looking back. Standouts include Tyrese Hunter who finished the game with 17 points and 6 rebounds; Antuan Nesbitt who finished the game with 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Kamari McGee who finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists.
The difference in the game was mostly in the paint as Butler Elite outscored Up and Under 56-20 in the paint. Avery Johnson III was a standout for the Up and Under with 6 points and 13 rebounds. Butler Elite shot 55.4 percent from the field while Up and Under shot a mere 38.8 percent.
