In the first of the second round games at the 2017 IndiWorld Championships, Seattle Rotary Style able to hold off 3WYA Canada by a score of 70-44. After leading 37-23 at the half, Seattle Rotary was dominant throughout in an easy win.
Paolo Banchetto was the star for Rotary Style, scoring a game high 17 points, to go along with 5 rebounds. Rotary Style had a balanced scoring attack which saw four players end up in double figures. Shane Nowel, the brother of Washington commit Jaylen Nowell was a standout for Rotary Style, ending with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
For 3WYA Canada, Kyree Thompson played well with 16 points but wasn’t able to pull off the upset. Rotary Style finished the game shooting 53.8 percent from the field, while 3WYA only shot 37.8 percent. 3WYA Canada struggled from the three point line, shooting 1-13 while Rotary Style only shot 1-7.
Seattle Rotary moves on to face the winner of Caron Butler Elite vs. The New York Dragons.
