Recently had time to sit down and talk to Coach Vic Williams from Team YOBO, YOBO is one of the premier teams in the Kansas area and have recently been making noise at the 17U and 16U level. Both teams made an apperance in our Indi Rankings during the AAU season.  Been asking my 6 stock questions to these programs recently and have had a great response from you all about these short and concise interviews!  Here you go!

1. What are the philosophies of your program?

We work hard of course and continue to grow both mentally and physically. I feel if you grow in both those departments it gives you a great chance at success in the future.

    2. How do you feel July went for the program?

I think it went very well, lost a few games we should’ve won. I think our guys over achieved from the stand point no one expected much from us this year and this team was dedicated to proving everyone wrong.

    3. Best game team played in this year?

Game against Team Scan in Kansas City Hardwood Classic

    4. Who was the toughest team you played this year?

Houston Defenders I would have to say

   5. Who are the key players and the x-factor?

Key player was Clayton Custer (Iowa St. commit) he dominated the game and always kept the team in the game no matter who we played.

   6. How do you feel about the possibilities for next year?

We got some 16s that our coach did a great job developing.  The 17u from this year is going to be tough to replace because of their toughness.  It was a group of over achievers. Next year’s team has a lot of talent and if they bring the energy they can be special team.
