I had time last week to talk to Michael Carrington from Oklahoma Reign.  This program started two years ago and have made great progress in this short time.  Oklahoma Reign is starting to make some noise.  The program has helped both girls and boys and helping them maxture as young adults.

   1. What are the philosophies of your program?

Books over basketball, you have to have your education to do anything at next level with basketball. We want to develop young men to be successful in life not just basketball.  Discipline and respect are very key with us also.

     2. How do you feel July went for your program?

I feel like the guys played very well in the Kansas City prep tournament, I would say July was a successful month for us overall because our high school guys got plenty of opportunity to showcase their talents.

     3. Best game your team played in this year?

I would say the game against St. Louis Eagles at the Kansas City Prep because they competed with them for the most part of the game until the very end.

     4. Who was the toughest team you played this year?

I would say St. Louis Eagles because of Jayson Tatum very skilled player and difficult to guard.

     5. Who are the key players and the x-factor?

Key players are Taylan Illif and Chelvin Webb, both are key components to the team and stepped up big for the team all year and are leaders of the team.

     6. How do you feel about the possibilities for next year?

I feel like all my kids across the board that we are only going to get better because this is our second year and in the first year, we only had two teams.  This year we have 6 or 7 teams. The kids understand that you have to work hard to get where you want to and they are willing to put the work in.
