KC Run GMC: played at the prestigious Jerry Mullens High Profile Tournament and showed very well in front of about 60 or more coaches per game. KC Run GMC 15u won the Championship, beating a very talented Omaha Elite team and KC Run GMC 16u drilled the St. Louis Eagles by 22 to win the Championship. KC Run GMC 17u lost by 7 in Championship Game - and played the Pumas who earlier that week beat Mokan EYBL team in their own Tune-Up Event.
KC PUMAS: The Pumas also played in the Jerry Mullens High Profile Tournament and followed their win over Mokan EYBL with a strong performance and had big wins over All Iowa Attack and YOBO.
MOKAN: Following last weeks' loss to the Pumas, Mokan EYBL played in local Chicago tournament (Summer Jam) hosted by the Illinois Wolves but didn't make it past the first round of Bracket Play's game against Full Package. NetGain Sports defeated the Illinois Wolves in the Championship. Mokan's 14u, 15u & 16u won their respective Championships.
YOBO: Yobo also played in the Jerry Mullens High Profile Tournament. Playing short handed w/ a new frontcourt, they struggled a little but managed to play well enough to give the St. Louis Eagles EYBL team a nice scare in the quarter finals. That started a bad spiral with losses to Arizona Power & KC Pumpas.
With the exception of a couple slip ups KC really showed well in the last weekend and first live period in July! There really are good programs in the Kansas City Area.
