Game 1: Tigard 63, Central Catholic 53 BOX SCORE
Tigard had a very balanced and efficient offensive attack to run past Central Catholic 63-53. Tigard had four players in double figures and shot 58% for the game. Elijah Simon came off the bench to score 14 and lead all scorers on 6-7 shooting from the field. Joel Jonson posted a double-double 11 point and 10 rebounds for the Tigers and Byran Berg and Nich Kaelin both contributed 12 points. Central Catholic fell to 2-5 on the year. Xavier Hallinan scored a team high 14 point for the Rams. Tigard will play the winner of South Eugene and West Linn tomorrow night at 5:30pm.
Game 2: Jefferson 65, Lake Oswego 63 BOX SCORE
Silas Melson scored 20 points and Devaunte Paschal added 14 to fend off Lake Oswego (6-1) on Friday morning. Jefferson started the game up 10-0. The Lakers outrebounded Jefferson 44-21. Jefferson led 39-28 at half time. Lake Oswego cut the lead to two in the third quarter 51-49. Canaan Sellers lead all scorers with a game high 25 points. Jazz Johnson added 23 for the Lakers in a losing effort. Jefferson will face the winner of Rainier Beach and Grant who play in the nightcap tonight.
Game 3: Churchill 79, Sunset 65 BOX SCORE
Churchill improved to 4-0 on the year behind a game-high 25 point from David Shedrick. The Lancers also got some solid guard play from Malik Morgan who had 12 points and 6 assists. Churchill got out to a fast start and led by 15 at the end of the first quarter. Sunset (2-4) made a late push winning the fourth quarter by 10 but it was too little to late. Sunset was led by Jeff Beiber with 21 point and 12 rebounds on 9-11 shooting. Churchill will play the winner of Whitney Young and Clackamas tomorrow night at 7:00pm.
Game 4: Jesuit 55, Timberline (WA) 41 BOX SCORE
Jesuit got out to an early lead and went up 16-9 at the end of the first quarter. Jesuit was led by Jack Nadelhoffer who scored 22 points and added 10 rebounds on 50% shooting (9-18). Ryan Bay filed the stat sheet for Jesuit scoring 12 points and adding 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Henry Mondeaux controlled the backboards for the Crusaders with 13 rebounds. Jesuit outrebounded Timberline 43-28. Highly touted recruit Donaven Dorsey led Timberline with 16 points on 21 shots. Jesuit will play the winner of Bishop Gorman and Beaverton tomorrow at 4:00pm.
