New Jersey’s hidden gem Team JLA

There are a lot of very good AAU programs that exists today. The big sneaker sponsored programs usually garner the most recognition, notoriety and attention.  There is an understanding  of this because sponsored programs are given the opportunity to play on  their perspective sneaker sponsored circuit which is widely followed by all the scouts and ratings blogs. I will be the first to say many of the programs indeed are very good. Many programs because they are small community based programs with talent often gets overlooked and unrecognized because they are not sponsored.

Team JLA is a very talented 15u team who has shown the ability to compete with some of the top sneaker sponsored programs.  Last spring, Team JLA dominated the local circuit and even a few programs that were given considerable rankings in Jersey. They earned a 68-10 record before finishing the season ranked 6th according to the USBA. This spring they are playing a much tougher schedule to prove that they are indeed capable of garnering some recognition and perhaps even given some sponsorship consideration.  They have played against ranked teams as PSA CARDINALS, WeR1, Team United,  The City, NY Gauchos,  Mc BlueChips and Team Takeover. They have gone 5-2 respectively against these team and have battled when they were defeated. This does not in any manner diminish the talent of the teams mentioned rather shed some recognition of Team JLA.

Team JLA is here to stay and will continue to compete with the programs that have already earned their place as a force to be reckoned with on the AAU circuit. We are here to show we are not a cinderella story but a very good team that belongs.
