Have you enjoyed your break? June is typically the month in grassroots basketball, we get way from the game for a minute. Top players go to the big time camps while the rest of your teammated go to team camps across the country. Grassroot coaches are catching up on housework and their wives( so i am the only one that has a wife that fuss during AAU season?).

This is also a time for us to get prepared for the upcoming July grassroots schedule. We are 2 weeks away from another busy July. College coaches will be in almost every section of the country looking at the top talent. If you are a high school junior, this is your interview for college. Take advantage of it. With all that being said, here is a look at the top events of the summer.

The state of Georgia will be the host to all 3 of these major events. Adidas will take the top 32 teams in their gauntlet finals at North Gwinnett High.  UAA will take place at Suwanee Sports Academy with the top 16 UAA teams.Nike will assemble in Augusta with its top 24 teams. When these shoe companies host tournaments, best believe there are some more events close. PREDICTION: ADIDAS WINNER, TEAM LOADED VA, NIKE WINNER, GEORGIA STARS, UAA WINNER CANADA ELITE

4. AAU GOLD SHOWCASE JULY 22-26 LOUISVILLE,KY

Let's pause and have a moment of silence for Orlando, Florida..... Orlando use to be the site for the AAU nationals and super showcase events. In its 2nd year in Lousiville, AAU is losing some of its luster. Mainly because more and more vents are appearing in the south. Nevertheless, the gold showcase will feature the top 64 teams in America. Lousiville will definitely be a place to be in the last period.
