- Queen City Thunder Youth Basketball
Queen City Thunder Youth Sports, Inc. was organized in 2006. Our committee takes pride in mentoring our youth and teaching them the fundamentals of basketball. As we strive to teach them the fundamentals of basketball and ways to develop and enhance their skills, we also encourage them to play with good sportsmanship, display teamwork, and practice excellent work ethics. We are proud to mention that all of our players are considered student athletes at their prospective schools as each of them earn very good grades. As our organization stresses the importance of education, we also provide academic support so that they remain student athletes, as well as maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. In addition to playing basketball, our players are involved in community service activities here in Charlotte. AAU Basketball is a competitive league that includes traveling around the United States to compete against other teams that are well developed and fundamentally sound. This helps to broaden the player’s perspective and raises the bar to another level. So, as an AAU sanctioned team, we will put in the work and exhibit the characteristics of an AAU team as we travel and compete against these teams.
