The goal is to reach out to kids and teach them the fundamentals of basketball. The program is academic as well as athletic because we hold tutoring and mentoring for the children and a safe haven to play. As a result of the high academic standards the players in the 1-8th grades are participants in the Honor Roll programs at their respective schools, therefore dispelling the stereotype that so often plague kids that play basketball. Kids are also taught the importance of the community by participating once a month in community service for free activities.
