The Dallas Pacers was founded by Coach Steve Wilder, Mrs. Lady Bell and Assistant Coach Vincent McNeil in early 2002. Coach Steve came up with the name that summer to play in the GBL summer league. The Dallas Pacers originated from the Turnkey Boys and Girls Club Basketball team. In just short of 2 years, the Dallas Pacers participated in a number of tournaments, from around the metroplex, south and east Texas to North Louisiana. These young athletes have put up amazing numbers, with over 30 1st place championship trophies, and a overall record of 89-15. Early on, Coach Steve made sure each member of the team put their academics first and basketball second. The Dallas Pacers also participated in many community service projects from painting houses, cleaning up neighborhoods and mentoring. Together Coach Steve, Coach Vincent and the parents developed a group of boys into young men. They've taken basketball to another level and included Pride, Respect and Responsibility.
