- New Mexico Shock Basketball Club
The New Mexico Shock Basketball Club is a non-profit organization comprised of New Mexico basketball players who wish to play at the next level. The current roster is made up of ten players from five cities and represent seven high schools. Our players come from Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, Pojoaque and Roswell. They represent the following high schools; Santa Fe , Capital , Pojoaque, Sandia, V Sue Cleveland, Highland and Roswell. In addition to local tournaments, the Club travels out of state to NCAA certified tournaments in hopes to help our players further their academic and athletic careers. Our players are also great students, with many of them holding above a 3.0 average as well as taking honors courses. As a club, we do our best to fund raise with the goal of providing a life changing experience with little out of pocket expense for the families. We do not require club fees for our players, like other organizations. Many talented players are not able to play on teams like this because their families are not able to afford club fees of over $600 for their son to be able to play at a competitive level. This requires a large undertaking as our families come from different economic backgrounds. Your generosity will allow the club to continue to provide the players with the opportunity to play at tournaments in which college scouts are present, without placing a hardship on their families. All sponsors will be listed on our website and will be given a team poster. Your sponsorship may be tax deductible. Please consult with your tax adviser.
