- Wilson Youth Basketball
Wilson Youth Basketball Association was formed in the summer of 2008 by long-time community youth basketball coaches interested in creating a stronger Wilson area youth basketball program.
The men’s and women’s coaching staff of Wilson High School provides clinics for our coaches so that our program emphasizes fundamentals and develops players with the potential to play basketball in high school and beyond. Some teams in our program will have the opportunity to play highly competitive basketball in the Three Rivers Youth Basketball League, which includes nearly 20 other youth basketball organizations from Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington County school districts.
Our Association also works closely with the new Portland International League (PIL) Middle School Sports program that is fostering the development of stronger youth programs across the Portland school district. All of our 6th, 7th and 8th grade Girls teams will play in this league against other high school cluster areas.
Additionally, we offer a recreational program through Portland Parks & Recreation for players who do not want to commit to the time required to play at a competitive level or who need additional time to develop their fundamental skills.
Our Association comprises approximately 35 teams per season with nearly 350 boys and girls participating at various age levels and skill levels.
