Idaho Elite Basketball's first team took the floor as the Idaho Wolfpack in 2005. Back then, there were very few opportunities for kids to play competitive basketball in the Treasure Valley; the AAU program in the Treasure Valley was experiencing tremendous demand, every high school feeder team fielded just one team, and every team had more kids trying out than spots available. In some cases, the kids trying out more than tripled the amount of available spots per team.

So, necessity brought forth the beginning of the Idaho Wolfpack, a team of 6th grade Boys from all across the valley that did not make their respective AAU teams. They played their first games at the Bryan Dunn Memorial Tournament ( Boise, ID) where they went 2-2. Over the next 3 years, they lost more games than they won. But, they played in tournaments across the valley, travelled to Portland, OR for a tournament, and remained friends throughout high school. All of the original Idaho Wolfpack players played for their high school teams - Capital, Timberline, Meridian, Bishop Kelly, and North Star High School.

Our objective at Idaho Elite Basketball is to provide our players with a competitive basketball environment to help them become better individual basketball players, as well as vital members of their respective teams. We believe basketball can be used as a tool to help players learn how to work hard, understand the importance of personal discipline, and become leaders in our community. We ask our players to "fill their jersey's"; what we mean by this is: "it may say Idaho Elite on the front of your jersey, but it doesn't mean anything if you don't back it up by giving your all, having a great attitude, being an encouragement to others, and respecting your opponent. Only then will you be considered Elite".
