Rose City Thunder basketball program was founded in 2012 under the principles of: INTEGRITY, LOVE AND FAMILY. In 18 years of coaching sports I have witnessed good teams win basketball games, but athletes were not developed. One would think that if a coach played college athletics and was a good player they would be able to develope youth athletes, but that is just not the case. I believe kids have different learning styles and develope at different levels. In addition, I have seen programs focus on their best players and loose sight of developing each player as if they were family. It is true that a majority of AAU teams have talent, but our coaching staff believes that by enhancing a players mental approach and teaching basketball fundamentals this will improve a player's overall game. Our program is all about building ATHLETES by providing quality training, intense focused workouts and game situational drills. Our moto is you are only as strong as your weakest link. Our staff feels that a good coach can make any player competitive with the right teaching. Our program is based on family principles, Integrity, Love and Respect which equals Mature young adults. Our program is built around family and our community. In our program we emphasize the importance of team participation, good sportsmanship, and self-discipline.

Our coaching staff consists of past division one athletes, current high school coaches, educators and youth mentors. Our coaching staff has been hand- picked for every position on the court, to ensure that our athletes are getting the one-on-one training needed. Our program also supports the most important part of athletics, which is the Education. Education and Athletics go hand in hand. We are preparing young athletes for success on and off the court by way of Basketball. We will be challenging our athletes to Elevate their basketball fundamentals and Commit to giving 110% at all times. We are not just looking for athletes to fill a team, but athletes who will be dedicated to improving, being a Team player, and willing to Challenge themselves on all levels.
