We were here in Mansfield for the Opportunity for Youth Spring Tip Off. Here are our top performers on Saturday.
Elijah Castaneto, 2022 G DFW Hawks: Castaneto can score well in the fast break and he shot the ball well from the perimeter. Elijah plays fast and is small but tough.
Peyton Wiggins, 2022 G DFW Hawks: Wiggins is a do it All guard that does well on offense and defensive end. He is a very willing passer and he was strong in both games played. H
Collin Smith, 2022 PG ProSkills: Collin towers over most guards he goes against and that lets him get shots off and see over the opposing teams zone defenses. ProSkills look like the favorites in their division.
Jordan Walsh, 2022 PF ProSkills: Walsh is a long player that plays with a high motor. He rebounds well on both ends and he moves quick especially for a player his height and age.
Deontrell Barrett, 2023 PG YGC36: Barrett was in double figures in both of his games and his strength and deceptive quickness makes him tough to guard.
RJ Chatham, 2023 G YGC36: Chatham is a quick guard that plays very well off of Deontrell. He knows how to score and he has a nice touch on his floaters.
Nathan Greek, 2023 PF YGC36: Greek is a big post that can be tough to push out inside. He knows how to use his body well and he actually has solid footwork.
Dylan Beard, 2019 PG Xpress Hoops: Beard scored 30 points in his team's close win in the evening session. He shot the ball well, finished well inside and handled pressure well.
Josh Lastre, 2020 G Xpress Hoops: Lastre is a knockdown shooter and the lefty also plays smart on the floor. Lastre's first game was very strong.
Mark Freeney, 2019 F A Game Athletes: Freeney is an athletic player that is always on the boards. His strength allows him to get in good positions for rebounds and he can finish with contact on him.
